From the meeting my next steps are as follows:
- Research visual styles from different sources (still image/ moving image/ interactive) and pick 3 distinct styles from each.
- Make a list of what I feel are the key elements of each style and what defines each.
- Take one on my own characters and adapt it so that it fits each of my chosen styles.
- Make notes on my findings.
- Has the appeal changed?
- Am I technically able to recreate the styles?
- Any other findings I haven't previously thought of.
- Create a mind map of 'Appeal' including relevant literature from the research I have undertaken.
3. Read: Get 'The Art of' books for 3D animation films to look at character designs.
