Meeting Minutes #3

Today I had my first meeting with Robin to discuss my project thus far. I was also thinking of this meeting in terms of my Research Proposal and what elements I would need for it. We decided that my project (and therefore dissertation) would be categorized as followed:

• Aesthetics
• Theory
• Process

Gaining a deeper knowledge of aesthetics and my understanding of the term, looking at the theory of how existing artists create their visual styles, and applying my knowledge from both of these areas into the process of creating my own visual style.

He also suggested some areas to look at and where to begin this process:

• Character Design
• Origin of books
• Aesthetics theory
• History of books
• Theory development

So this is my next step, I think I will start with aesthetics as I feel gaining a better understanding of this topic with benefit anything I do from that point on.
