Here is some reference for my related piece in the style of Mathieu Beaulieu.
Composition
As I have limited for time with this piece I decided to create a simple painting based off the top, right reference image. In order to add some variety and interest I used a night setting in a camp fire scene.
Colour Palette
In trying to keep with the visual style, I kept the colour palette of the background all within the blue and green spectrum. Only adding alternative shade where necessary; the fire for instance.
Final Piece
And here is the final outcome. This image is by no means perfect and could be closer to the original style, however for the purposes of this study (developing my design framework) I feel it has been useful.
